On The Horizon...
12 Feb 2010, 7:30 PM: Theatrical Study #1 premieres at the Oscar Peterson Concert Hall (Concordia University, Montréal) during Concert 6 of the final EuCue concert series ever.  The piece features electronic transformations of theatrical improvisations by Alex Eddington and Laura Anne Harris (recorded at Toronto's Tarragon Theatre) and will be diffused alongside works by Elizabeth Anderson,Hugh Le Caine and Christian Calon.  A big thanks to Kevin Austin, Mark Corwin, Julian Stein, Maxwell Stein and others for all their work on the EuCue concerts!  For more info and recordings of the EuCue concerts, click here.
Feb-Mar 2010: The interactive video and sound piece Waterfall, created by Kim Morgan, David Clark, Rachelle Viader Knowles and David Ogborn appears at the Whistler Canada Olympic House, located in the Whistler Public Library building, for the duration of the Olympics and Paralympics.  The facility will host public events during the games on three Saturdays: February 13, 20 and 27.  Commissioned by the Canadian Wildlife Federation, you can learn more about the piece on the CWF's website.
08 Apr 2010, 12:30 PM: Inaugural performance by McMaster University's new Cybernetic Orchestra, directed by David Ogborn - a laptop orchestra and more!  The Cybernetic Orchestra will open the annual Fresh event featuring outstanding work by students from the Communication Studies & Multimedia B.A programs and the M.A. in Communications and New Media at McMaster University.  Venue: the 1280 restaurant in the basement of Togo Salmon Hall, McMaster University.  For more info about the Cybernetic Orchestra, click here.    
19 Apr till 15 May 2010: Life Elsewhere - Opening April 28 at the Art Gallery of Regina - an exhibition of two new media-installation works by Rachelle Viader Knowles, produced in close collaboration with David Ogborn.  Artists talk on May 12.  A brochure will accompany the exhibition, with essays by Dr Carmen Robertson (University of Regina, Art History) and Stephanie Sherman (Director, Elsewhere Museum).
